La Parrilla De Regantio
Camino de Bornos 28 Bl. 1 Bajo, 11630 Arcos de la Frontera Spain
Very friendly service, only menus in Spanish
We visited with our family of 4 during our summer break. We were welcomed by the host and had a very pleasant stay. The waiter did not speak English and also the menu was only in Spanish, so we had to improvize a bit but thanks to online translation we got somewhere. But it would be nice to have an English menu available as well. Food was very nice, with nice amuses and sides and a sort of complimentary ice cream/dessert afterwards. If you are around in Arcos and are considering a nice dinner, don't bypass this spot!
Very good experience
The food was great and the service was excellent. Especially the tuna tataki was superb. Good selection of local wines. Highly recommended!
Gorgeous food, hidden gem
This restaurant is just off the beaten track of tourist geared restaurants near the castle/ plaza but if you are in Arcos de la Frontera, you must give this restaurant a go. The proprietor (Ricardo) was so lovely and welcoming. They don’t have English menus (that would help) but it’s simple enough to know what’s on the menu and using Google Translate, I was able to order easily.Having done a big hike earlier in the day, I was hungry and ordered a squid ink rice dish with calamari and a cod bacalao. Absolutely delicious and presentation was excellent. The food, a beer and coffee all came up to €26 - just so cheap for such high quality food. It’s a shame I’m not staying for longer otherwise I would definitely go back again. Muchas gracias Ricardo!
We were looking for a great Spanish meal and we found it at La Parilla de Regantio. We visited Madrid, Córdoba, and Sevilla, before having our favorite meal so far at this little gem. Forget the Casco Antiguo; venture into new town and enjoy an excellent meal in a quiet ambience. The food is great and service is fantastic. Gerardo, Bartolomé, y Carlos took fantastic care of us. We recommend the bacalao, the endive salad with Roquefort sauce, the salmorejo, and the black rice. Don’t forget to end the meal with a digestive liquor (I.e. limoncello) or a local Sherry. Bon appetite!
Amazing food and service definitely try the Emilio moro red wine or the la pepa ipa and dont forget o ask what today’s specials are.
Lovely Restaurant in the Newer Town
La Parilla is located in the newer part of Arcos de la Frontera, away from more touristy venues. It was filled with local families when we had lunch there on Palm Sunday. It has indoor and outdoor seating, a very nice ambiance and great service. The food is excellent, very well-prepared and beautifully presented.
We are so lucky to be just round the corner from this wonderful bar/restaurant. The food is always beautifully presented and very tasty. The service is friendly and efficient. We recently tried the tapa on the "Ruta de la Tapa" and it was exceptional. Well done, La Parrilla.
Wonderful food but poor soft furnishings!
When it comes to tasty plates of food then this place is as good as any in Arcos but it's the way that they present their dishes that makes an impression. Each dish arrives looking and tasting like somebody actually went to a lot of trouble to prepare it, demonstrating that they actually care what their customer receives. Their menu also dares to be a little different from the others in Arcos, offering up some quite original dishes that still deliver good quality, flavour and textures. If it was just down to the food then I would eat here more often than I do.The restaurant is not located in the main tourist area and there's a bit of a hill to negotiate but that's not a big issue for most and it's easy enough to find. The only drawback for me is the interior of the restaurant seriously, I personally find it a problem. The tables and chairs are so uncomfortable (but not as bad as Taberna Jovenes) that you actually look forward to leaving. The lighting is also very harsh and it makes the place look and feel like a canteen and not like a restaurant that you could relax in and enjoy. I know these are not the normal types of complaints but for me they really detract from a good night out. However, on its food alone this place deserves to be successful and I have scored it on the quality of its food, the service and presentation. Please don't be put off by the above information, as that could change overnight.
Quiet, but good
Apart from a couple of locals at the bar, we were the only customers when we visited. The food was good, as was the service, and prices were fair. We thought it a good idea to eat outside the tourist area, but as it was empty it lacked a bit of atmosphere. However with a few people it would be an ideal place for lunch.
Great atmosphere and value
Worth the 5 minutes walk away from the historic zone and right into a real neighborhood restaurant. Great food with excellent value.
Make the effort to visit this Restaurant- it's fabulous, and great value.
Yesterday we stopped for tapas at La Parilla De Regantio in the evening and the quality of the food, and the service were so high that we immediately booked to return the next day. We have just had lunch at La Parilla De Regantio, and it was THE BEST foodie experience we have had, not just in Arcos, but in the whole of Spain. Juan, the manager goes out of his way to make you feel so welcome and the skillfully served dishes, and professional attention from the staff make this a 5 star experience. The service is that artistic blend of warmth, relaxation and absolute attention to detail that places this restaurant on a higher plane. The food is exemplary, from the hand caught tuna fish marinated in citrus, to the wild mushroom risotto topped with purple broccoli sprouts, the aubergine; crispy on the outside with honey glaze and soft as butter inside, a whole round of goats cheese topped with a caramelized brulee glaze, on a bed of rocket, walnuts, local raisins and balsamic and honey jus, the small extra little sea food, fresh vegetables and exquisite olive oil amuse bouche which suddenly appear by your side, moving later, at a leisurely pace along to the delicious deserts-melting chocolate pudding, with praline ice cream served alongside mellow coffee.......this place is a MUST DO on your trip to Arcos. True enough, it's a short walk down from the old town, but it makes a handsome change from the Tourist Menus on offer in the Antigua. You'll be pleased that you made the effort. It's on Camino Bornos, dont google it or you'll go to the wrong location-just head along Camino De Bornos and you'll find it... Dont miss this place on your trip to Arcos De La Frontera.
Excelente calidad y trato
