Just a correct beach restaurant at a nice place

- 3 / 5 stars -2 years ago

Good friendly service but the taste of the food is just correct. I fear many ingredients came fro the deepfreezer.

Great food, great service, Great location

- 5 / 5 stars -2 years ago

Like similar diners, we enjoyed the last night of our holiday here. We watched the sun set over the beach and enjoyed our drinks before eating. the food was delicious but maybe being English, we over-ordered on the starters and were completely over faced by all the food! The portions were huge, where we had being used to more tapas sized portions. A couple of plates would have served our party of 5 well. The main courses were delicious, but we struggled with the ample portions. The sea bass and John Dory were excellent and the pigs cheeks were cooked perfectly. The service was excellent and both the waiters worked very hard all night, even managing to make up for our poor Spanish. My only criticism would be that the beer was served in a boot! A little quirky for sure, but to us, it cheapened the feel of the place unnecessarily. otherwise, the wine selection and price was very good.We definitely would go back again if we found ourselves in this area, but order less food!

A madhouse in August !

- 3 / 5 stars -2 years ago

The food is not bad but the restaurant itself is over run in August - the holiday month in Spain. Don't try going by taxi - it took us about an hour wait for a taxi to bring us back to our hotel.

Very satisfying

- 5 / 5 stars -2 years ago

Dined at La Sarten on the final night of our holiday having checked it out several times, since we parked here for our morning beach walks. The food was lovely, like having home cooked treats by the beach with the amazing sunset sea views. All our meals were delicious and service very attentive. Got the tickets impression that one or two waiters were a little nervous!! You shouldn't be as you served us very well and made us feel welcome. Will be returning next time we visit Chiclana & La Barossa

Brilliant Service with Brilliant Fresh Food

- 5 / 5 stars -2 years ago

Went a few days ago in the evening, we had booked a table and when we arrived were promptly seated, our seats overlooked the beach and watched a magnificent sunset whilst we meandered over the food and drinks menu. Our Spanish is quite poor but the waiters were more than helpful and were very patient and polite. When it came to the food we all had seafood dishes and they were all superb, the fish was fresh and packed with flavour! We can recommend the John Dory, Turbot and not to mention the Tuna steak! After visiting multiple restaurants in the surrounding area, La Sarten has been our best experience both food and service wise, which is why we will be returning tonight for our last meal of the holiday! 😁.

Good overall beach restaurant

- 4 / 5 stars -3 years ago

Came out of season in December the place was deserted BUT this restaurant was open, only one waiter on duty, but a more pleasant and helpful person you could not meet . Linen table cloths and napkins, had a chorizo and bean risotto well cooked hot and tasty, as I was driving had a glass of the house wine, . A very pleasant experience

Great for tapas and meals..and portions are large!!

- 5 / 5 stars -3 years ago

This restaurant has a prime position, with fantastic sea views, and you can eat outside (great for a drink and tapas) or inside - better for a meal. Staff friendly and efficient, and ambiance very good. We visited this restaurant a couple of times for tapas - which was brilliant - excellent tortellitas de camarones (shrimp/prawn fritters) ; boquerones ( anchovies) yummy and paté de cabracho (red scorpion fish pâté) very tasty plus the best Sangria we have ever had-truly!! We returned for a lunch - and I guess the only criticism was that some aspects were not totally clear (though our knowledge of Spanish food is good). We ordered the mixed fried fish – which was on the starter part of the menu and said to be for two people - around 25 Euros..and it was massive (enough for four of us). It was the best quality and variety we had every had... but foolishly we had ordered a second course..and we were pretty near full by that time. So we did spend a bit over the odds for delicious food we were unable to eat (and couldn’t eat again for the rest of the day!)

BEST CLAMS IN THE WORLD!`

- 5 / 5 stars -6 years ago

Oh my goodness, went here a while back and am still thinking about it! I went with my fiancee and we were absolutely enchanted, great views, even better service. And the brilliant dish were the coquinas, one of the most gorgeous and tasty I have EVER eaten! The shell is transparent and they are locally caught. A delicacy that you can't find elsewhere. I need to go back very soon.

Me esperaba algo más

- 3 / 5 stars -8 hours ago
